Is BLUE WEST a band with an identity crisis? Or is the variety offered from this musical entity a way to enjoy the big picture that is American music.
Country and Western, Rock N, Roll, among others have evolved from the roots established by The Blues during the turn of the twentieth century. BLUE WEST has been enjoying all these music forms as all good Americans should. It is all too common for the media to seek the easy way out by labeling certain artists as either Country, Folk, Rock, Blues, Lounge Band, Heavy Metal...the list can go on forever when seeking to pigeonhole a certain thing for the sake of marketing.
BLUE WEST happily accepts the challenge of covering and fusing Country, Rock and Blues. The songlist can easily be manipulated to compliment each potential venue as BLUE WEST has done Blues and Country Rock clubs.

Based in Columbus, Ohio BLUE WEST is:
Bob Kettler on Drums and vocals. A veteran road musician, Bob performed Jazz as well as all variety of music providing the tasteful backbone for BLUE WEST as well as it's strongest vocalist.
Kent Robbins on Guitar and vocals, has also been a long time road musican as well as collaborating with Bob Kettler for about a decade. Mixing instrumental, Songwriting, and giving the audience what it wants in cover material is Kent's goal for BLUE WEST.
Brian Preston on Keyboards,Guitar and vocals offers his versatile skills as a performer and songwriter with BLUE WEST
as well as an officer with central Ohio's SONGWRITER AND POETS CRITIQUE songwriter organization.
Mike Morouse on Bass and vocals is a veteran of both Pittsburgh, PA and Columbus, OH music scenes, rounding out the sond of BLUE WEST as well as driving the rhythm and stage show which is BLUE WEST.
