Haunting vocals, old poetry, edgy phrasings. Celia's appalachian influenced gospel was cultivated in a South London England upbringing and during college years in the Missouri Ozarks. She began performing while on a working stint in Hawaii and then gained interest among musicians and listeners in Northampton Massachusetts when she played her soulful piano and guitar songs in area clubs. After the recent release of her debut album, While I Lay Watching, Celia continues to perform to a growing audience in New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

Lyrically the songs tend to be narrative, unafraid, and somewhat psychological. The instrumentation is sparse but heavily influenced by blues, some gospel progressions and sometimes a bluegrass feel. In the end it is Celia's emotion-packed vocals that leave the last impression on a listener.
