I was excited by the two track pre- release that contained "Special Delivery" and "The Way You Love Me" but the total project is really over whelming! That's right folks OVER WHELMING! Let me start with the fact that every track on this one is an original piece.
Next the instrumentation and vocals presented are quality and accent the skills of the various group members.
The engineering and mix of the product does what it is suppose to do.
That is it focuses your attention on the talent being presented at the time, while maintaining a balance with the background vocals and instruments.
The content reflects tracks that have a classic beach sound full of horns and harmonies, but it is not restricted to just that sound.
Far from it there are tracks with a classic blues shuffle flavor and those that are up-tempo boogie.
To top all this off the project ends with a sultry sax instrumental that some will say has no dance value.
Ah.excuse me but has anyone ever heard of a slow dance.a belly rubber.a snuggle up close and get friendly type tune.
Regardless of what you call it, don't let the title throw you.
It is a grand listen for anyone.
