Adrian and Travis Hughes
Adrian and Travis are a father and son duo. They have been playing together for fifteen years. They play a variety of music: easy listening, blues, country, jazz, bluegrass, pop and gospel. Their style is unique. They play a finger-style from the south.
Adrian started playing the guitar at the age of ten. He plays both electric and acoustic guitars. He also plays the five-string banjo. He was raised in the mountains of Kentucky, where music is a way of life. His style is richly influenced by the local mountain music. He moved to Michigan after graduating from high school. He started working for Ford motor company at the age of eighteen. He took a two year leave to serve his country during the VietNam War. He returned to Michigan and Ford Motor where he advanced and worked for 36 years. He is now retired and dedicates his time to his music. Adrian is married, has four children and four grandchildren.
Travis was born and raised in Michigan. He started playing music at the age of fifteen. He is self-taught and loves to play. He plays the electric and acoustic bass guitars. He works full time for FedEx and dedicates the rest of his time to his family and his music. And like his father he served his country during the Gulf War. His music is greatly influenced by his father and his love of all types of music. Travis also serves as the recording engineer for their cds and is the sound engineer for their concerts. Travis is married and has two children.
Their concerts are always entertaining and upbeat.
