Album Description
Reviewed by critics as acoustically rich in harmonies and lyrics; Country Music's hottest new Duo, Annie & Amy capture a natural essence in their new release on AAI Records. If you need to get away, find your space, breathe the wide open air, feel the mountains and the sky; then the music of these two Wyoming natives is just what you're looking for. As you listen to Annie & Amy's CD "Dancin' In The Wind", you'll discover warm acoustic guitar sounds, easy blues licks, some bluegrass feels mixed with light rock riffs with soothing harmonic vocals that make your insides pulse and feel good. Already their CD is being played on BBC radio in England, Ireland, Scotland, and Denmark. True to their Wyoming roots, Annie and Amy's original songs are real and honest and depict stories of people born to the land. Their "Dancin' In The Wind" CD begins with the summer breeze sounds of a song called "Golden Fields" written for their great Grandfather. The song takes you into the lives of two young lovers growing up in a small town who have big dreams. They are caught in the struggles of life including war, yet their love survives. Another song called "Nellie is about a young woman who must learn to let go-- a mother's greatest gift to her child. In "Darlin' Won't You Please" you'll hear the soft sensuous voice of a woman talking to the man she loves and together they try to rekindle the love they lost. "You Can't Judge A Man" is a sassy, bluesy number in search of the man who treats a woman right. "High Flyer" haunts you with its metaphor of desire. The minute you hear this CD it embraces you with fluid sounds so free and unconventional, that you feel like you are walking in the middle of the Wind River Mountains, beneath a marbled sky of clouds and blue. So why not take a break, loosen your tie and immerse yourself in this wonderful journey of love and life. Annie and Amy invite you into their home...Wyoming.

From the Label
From the day these gals auditioned in the office of a major Record Label, they caused a stir. These young women grew up singing and writing and fine tuned their talents on their first release "Dancin' In The Wind". Already heralded as an award winning album by the President of AAI Records and music critics, with its rich acoustic sounds, soothing harmonies, and visually clever lyrics; Annie and Amy have definitely carved a solid niche for themselves. It's fresh, it's real, it's grassroots.

From the Artist
Putting this album together was a breakthrough for us --after writing with so many talented Nashville songwriters and working with the best producer in the business. You might say this is a collection of years in progress. Some songs were written & recorded in California, some in Australia, some on the road, but mostly they are about our homeland and together these songs capture the real essence of who we are and our Wyoming roots.

About the Artist
Annie and Amy are graduates of Stanford University, professional songwriters, singers and even licensed auctioneers. Born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Annie and Amy are the youngest and only daughters in a family of 7 children...and yes they are identical twins. They grew up in a house full of music with their big brothers and father all playing jazz trombone and rocking the house with records from the Beatles, Eagles, Simon & Garfunkel, Doobies, Rolling Stones, and even Beethoven. A & A's mother taught them harmony on the piano when they were only 6 yrs old. Because of their older brothers, A & A's songwriting and singing were influenced by groups from the 60's and 70's. Annie and Amy's family moved around the country due to their father's entrepreneur career. Living in various parts of the country also exposed the girls to various types of music; from the western music in Wyoming, to the latin songs in New Mexico, to the jazz/pop sounds in California. Their oldest brother Clark, taught them to play easy rock riffs on the guitar when they were only 11. Annie wrote her first song for Clark when he died at the age of 21. Since that time, Annie and Amy wanted to concentrate on their songwriting and singing and between them have written 100's of songs. Annie and Amy have taken their music all over the world; singing on USO Tours to Cuba, Panama, Alaska, and Caribbean, and performing on Cruise Ships to Bermuda, Greece, Turkey, and Russia. Their national television appearances include winning the "GONG SHOW" as little girls, then several appearances on TNN (The Nashville Network), VH-1 Music Series, and most recently on ABC's GOOD MORNING AMERICA, and 60 MINUTES II on CBS. These two you women have also been featured in THE NEW YORK TIMES MAGAZINE, THE STANFORD MAGAZINE, THE TWINS MAGAZINE, and pictured in the USA TODAY, and the WASHINGTON POST. Currently, their CD "Dancin' In The Wind" is being played on BBC radio in England, Ireland, Scotland, and Denmark. Performing highlights include singing on the GRAND OLE OPRY as guests of Mr. Roy Acuff in Nashville. Annie and Amy have also performed for such dignitaries as former PRESIDENTS REAGAN and FORD; the AMBASSADOR to AUSTRIA in Vienna, Austria; the CHAIRMAN of THE JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF; the FORMER AMBASSADOR to the VATICAN in Mexico; as well as for celebrities such as JIMMY STEWART, ROBERT STACK, RICARDO MANTELBAN, JAMES GARNER, DANNY SULLIVAN (Indy 500) and CHRIS EVERT (Tennis Star). A & A opened up for famous groups such as BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD, hit songwriter DONAVAN, LEO KOTKE, and Country artists such as TY HERNDON, and RICKY VAN SHELTON for large crowds of 10,000 or more. Annie and Amy also shared the stage with the legendary BOB HOPE, FLORENCE HENDERSON (Brady Bunch), LARRY GATLIN (All The Gold In California) and MICHEAL MARTIN MURPHEY (Wildfire) at WESTFEST. Annie and Amy are invited to sing at the American Embassys in London and Paris, and will plan to tour other parts of Europe as well in the near future. With all the extensive travels these girls do, including living in Vienna, Austria for a year; the best part is learning about the people in that country and taking it back home in the songs they write. The girls are currently working on their next CD project with one Nashville's best Producer and songwriters. The sound is new and more pop oriented but definitley the sound of Annie & Amy.
