Holly is a local girl. She is a fixture in the renowned Sacramento "Americana" music scene. She has been a featured artist in Jackie Greene's singer/songwriter showcase at Marilyn's and was profiled in the Sacramento News and Review.
Her songs. They feature men in ten gallon hats and boys with harmonicas. Uncompromising women with roses embroidered on their bosoms. Long western highways, steady rollin' rivers, places whiskey soaked and comfortably worn. People that have rode hard, who love uninhibited and, because of it, do things they shouldn't.
And her voice. A voice that has been compared to Michelle Shocked, Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch. A voice that is powerful and elegant like an old Cadillac. A voice that cuts right through. A voice that fills up a small coffee house or a noisy bar, an intimate club or a concert hall. A voice that is as original and true and American as those old Willie Nelson and Patsy Cline records she grew up listening to. Once you hear her you'll want to hear her again.
