Billy Chernoff, aka Billy Charne, a Canadian born singer/songwriter and country hit maker has been on the music scene for a long time yet his music remains fresh and current. Chernoff continues to impress as he brings back “To Ma Ray Tom O Ray” and records new history with his latest release “Big Time Fresno Rodeo.”

A meeting in Nashville with Jerry Guthrie (son of Jack Guthrie) led to a collaboration of the title track, “Big Time Fresno Rodeo,” which was nominated for a Heritage Award with the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City by world famous cowboy Casey Tibbs.

“To Ma Ray Tom O Ray,” originally recorded in 1969 at the now famous “RCA Studio B”– Nashville and released internationally in June 1970, hit the TOP of the charts nationally in Canada and regionally in the U.S.

Through “Sally in Dallas,” Chernoff’s driving country groove describes his “innocent baby turned overnight lady”... while “Bye Baby Bye,” one that gets toes tapping and swingers swingin’, simultaneously spells out the tearful reality of losing a child through divorce.
Produced by Ronny Light with some of Nashville’s most established players who help convey Chernoff’s impressive sounds.

This engaging americana album is just one of many ways we can appreciate the real country world—through the eyes, ears and heart of Billy Chernoff.
