Chek was born and raised on a ranch in New Mexico. He started singing when he was eight years old and fiddling when he was nine. He played in the world famous Floyd Lions Club Jamboree (one of the oldest country music shows in the United States) from the time he was nine years old until he graduated from high school. He played with Charlie Daniels when he was about 10 in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Chek joined a band right out of high school and played the fiddle for four years. Then he started his own band. He played fiddle on LeAnn Rhimes' first album. He has opened for Martina McBride, Kenny Chesney, and others. He then moved to Nashville and became one of the biggest attractions on Broadway.
He is a real cowboy, singing real country songs.... the kind you can dance to. This is a great country CD produced by Chek and Robbie Turner. It was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Robbie Turner at Turner-Up Recording Studio in Nashville, Tennessee.
