Born into the world of Western Swing and Country Music in Fresno, California, Daryl grew up on the bandstands, and behind the scenes of his well known Dad's radio and TV shows. The son of Dave Stogner, (a "California Western Swing Music Hall of Fame" member and known as the "West Coast King of Western Swing"), the 50's and 60's proved to be an inspiration to Daryl and his entrance into Country Music.

Daryl began his musical and song writing skills working for Dave in Bakersfield, California at the age of 15. Radio and TV were nothing new to Daryl and his talents as a musician were utilized in local recording sessions thoughout his teen years. While working with his Dad, Daryl and the rest of the band performed over 20 radio shows for the Armed Forces Radio Network, airing all over the world. Daryl appeared on over 700 of his Dad's live music TV shows.

Joining the U.S. Army, Daryl completed his tour of duty in Vietnam, and began a career in law enforcement in Southern California. Daryl continued his song writing and with the help of friends Dennis Payne and Jim Unger, they brought five of Daryl's songs and four of his Dad's songs to completion on his first CD album release. Recorded at Rustywood Studio in Nashville, Daryl decided to make the tenth song something special and recorded "BREATHE" a contemporary religious song.

Daryl wrote the song "Fiddle Tunes and Guitars" as a commentary on the life his Dad introduced him into, Country Music.

Daryl is very appreciative and sends a special THANKS to everyone in Nashville (Dennis, Jim and Smiley) that helped make things happen. And to those musicians in his Dad's 50's/60's band in Fresno, Jack Ansiel(steel), Leon Carter(bass), Pat Marchese(drums), Johnny Russell(guitar/vocals), Al Brumley Jr(guitar/vocals) and Joe Holley(fiddle), and the guys in the band in Bakersfield, Red Simpson(piano)and Norm Hamlet(steel), it was all of these guys that built the fire inside for Daryl.
