I am a Musician. The piano is an instrument with which I have had a strong relationship for many, many years. I started playing the piano at the age of eight and grew up playing in my Dad's church through high school and beyond. I took lessons from our church Music Director's wife (also the church organist), while continuing to master the piano on my own. My interest and personal gratification grew from what I was hearing, and today I continue that quest for musical satisfaction!
I continue to enjoy performing the great music of George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Rodgers & Hart, and Stephen Sondheim. The music of Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand, Barry Manilow, Michael Feinstein, and the Carpenters still thrills me!
I am particularly fond of the romantic songs of Broadway shows, past and present. My repertoire includes tunes from "Jekyll and Hyde", "Ragtime", "A Chorus Line", "The King and I", "Phantom of the Opera", "Cabaret", "Les Miserable", and many more. In addition to the fabulous songs of Broadway, I also perform standards from World War II, including "Moonlight Serenade" and "I'll Be Seeing You". Also, I am quite receptive to playing special requests and I enjoy improvising as needed to accommodate any partygoer!
