Alexx Carnathan is 12 years old and began playing the piano at age 2-1/2. As well as playing music from her favorite artists, she also composes her own songs - writing her first when she was 6. She loves jazz, new age, ragtime, classical, her own creations, and singing.
"I hear music in my head and I can just sit down and play whatever I hear. What I hear is what I am. Everything I think of fits my personality somehow - jazzy, mellow, soft, etc."
Alexx plays at events in her hometown area of Portland, OR. She has performed on stage with many professional Northwest pianists including Michael Allen Harrison, David Lanz, Tom Grant, John Nilsen, Darrell Grant, Michael Kaeshammer, Janice Scroggins, David Nevue, and others.
Alexx enjoys school, performing, voice lessons, art, drawing, friends, family, pets, computers, watching TV and videos, Play Station, camping and collecting beanie babies.
