The artist, Giacomo Biondi Morra, creates mostly synthetic chill-out, ambient and film music. He proposes a laid-back, floating, sometimes melancholic atmosphere. However, there are also influences of trance, techno and dance in some of his tracks which unleash positive energy. Jazzy harmonies appear throughout his music as well as deep synthesizers textures and acoustic instruments. Listening to "A Return to Ethernity" is a pleasant and curious experience as every track surprises with its very own character, revealing untold stories to the listeners' mind.
Although synthesizers are his predominant instruments, Giacomo does also work with the human voice and guest instrumentalists. All of the melodies, harmonies, as well as the majority of the sounds are original. Sampling is very scarcely used.
sonyc-byo-hazard was founded in 1995 during Giacomo's studies at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
"sonyc" stands for sound, harmonies, melodies and textures : these fascinating structured movements of the air.
