What is your purpose for this site?

I noticed that most minidisc sites deal with their technical side, whether it be new product or general purpose information. While that info is invaluable there seemed to be something lacking in my search for minidisc information. Where was the music? After all, that's what I bought it for! While piracy laws and red tape make it impossible for anyone, especially the major labels, to offer custom compilations from their exhaustive catalogs, how else besides trading can you get a hold of music that you do not already possess? So, this site serves to "hook-up" minidisc owners looking to trade titles and expand their music collection.

Can I post URLs on the bulletin board?

Sure, you can do that. However, your best bet for URL advertising is to list it on "The Goods" page where it can be categorized and found easily by genre.

Can I add my site to The Trading Post?

Yes! Just be sure to fill out this form here http://minidisctradingpost.com/request.htm.
Then look for your site in "The Goods" section.

Will you link to pages containing MP3s?

There's a lot of heat surrounding these MP3s. While I think they sound great and are a valid way of transferring music, it tends to be a very one-sided transaction. You download the MP3, do what you like with it and that's it...there's no "trade". So, for that reason I won't link to MP3 sites.
