This cd´s idea was to experiment with mexican traditional music from Veracruz (Mexican state) called "son jarocho" with digital tools, this music is very interesting to experiment with because it has its own "guitars" called "jaranas" and "requintos" and its own percusions like the "tarima" and the "donkey jaw" witch have thier own unique sound and because this music that has remained "pure" and unexperimented with and has very strong roots. this experimentation was done by overposing and combining the song intruments with each other, creating new sounds and politonal songs, by processing material with the aid of studio effects and tools, without adding exteral audio material, always trying to keep a clear reference of the original music´s sound combining it to reach experimental album.
Andres De Robina studied composition in Mexico city, he is also a drummer and has played in experimental free improvisation groups, composed many music for diffrent experimental and non experimental proyects, and worked as studio ingeneer in recording proyects and cd´s.
