"Why rap about the condition of the World, when you could be rapping about solutions?" Seven years ago, The Mad Prophets contemplated this question and undertook the task of presenting pictures of hope through positive, introspective rhymes. The result was the birth of Street Theology their first single, and Street Theology II, the maxi. Now for those who have been waitng, their debut album,"Reasons For Rhetoric" is here. 18 bangin tracks of hip-hop and the Mad Prophets reasons for rhetoric.

Most artists who attempt to rap about spiritual things tend to present more questions than answers. The Mad Prophets addresses those questions asked in hip-hop for so long: "Is there an alternative to street life," "What happens to a thug when he dies," "How can I really get respect?"

The production on this album is hot! Temple as a producer, presents the listener with a wide range of styles and variety. "Free" will put you in the mindset of something that Common would flow to, and "Urban Caveman" has that "Slippin" feel to it by DMX. This Cd will take you on a journey thru hip-hop. If your tired of hearing rappers talking about the same thing over and over again, "Reasons For Rhetoric" is a must. The Mad Prophets dare to be different.

The Mad Prophets are comprised of three brotha's from Detroit, Quan, Temple, and Steel Will The Warrior. All three bring different styles and experiences to the table. Quan and Temple use to flow at some of the same spots as Eminem before he blew up. Steel Will went through the rough experience of serving four years in prison for selling cocaine on the streets of Detroit. These guys are very compassionate about what they do, and its evident on their album. They also connected with an underground legend from Detroit who goes by the name of Maji. Maji toured back in the day with Public Enemy, and produced tracks for Redman. Reasons For Rhetoric is a serious underground project that is destined to make some noise. Were talking about pure hip-hop, check it out.
