Is a Las Vegas trio known for dropping consistent HEAT in Heat City Las Vegas and beyond! In 1999 their first LP “Don’t Hate the Player, Hate the Game sold over 3,000 copies on the streets leading them into the 2004 sophomore project entitled “Heat City†saling over 2,500 copies. Both projects were while they were under another independent label.
The group consist of three members, Spoatymac, Shaggiemac aka Dirty Redd, and Emaculant all natives of NorthTown Las Vegas. Deriving from the childhood group COROC an group of youngsters active in the street battling scene and well respected for defeating competitors.
Towards the end of 2004, Spoatymac, CEO/MC decided he had soaked up enough game to establish his own label giving birth to Heat City Records. The first project entitled “Spoaty Life†introduced a style not often seen. Focusing on life struggles, reality, and the art of pimping. The project is like no other. It sold over 2,600 copies and still climbing.
During the same time frame, the label in association with Seven Records, dropped the DVD/Documentary entitled "Heat City from Undaground to Gangsta" focusing on the life of striving hip hop artist in Las Vegas. This DVD can be ordered on www.filmbaby.com
The “Spoaty Life†project broke down the doors of several radio stations and regional magazines, paving the way for the labels highly anticipated LP “The Streets Ain’t Readyâ€. An album targeting real issues ranging from, hustling to survive, avoiding obstacles, while shaking off haters. After just 1 month, the album has sold over 1,500 copies and climbing.
