Young UK based jazz pianist Adrian Conington was classically trained from the age of seven and discovered jazz in his early twenties. Having worked extensively with many talented jazz musicians in the UK he embarked on his debut solo album Sacred Roots in 2004. "I wanted to write an album of completely original material and the result is heavily influenced by the music that has inspired me and the musicians that I aspire to." Whilst recognisably capturing the smooth style of contemporary jazz, the album is a melting pot of styles, with elements of blues, latin, soul and R&B.
