A visionary fusion of American jazz and funk with the many different rhythms of Brazil, the music of the ContinenTrio has already gained well deserved recognition and respect in Brazil. The inclusion of "trio" in the group's name is a reference to the three Continentino brothers, Kiko, Jorge, and Alberto, who are accompanied by an unofficial fourth brother, the drummer Andre "Limao" Queiroz. Since the band's inception in 2000, they've repeatedly packed concert halls and music venues around Brazil, and now have the great pleasure of presenting their cd debut with the self-entitled album "ContinenTrio".

Kiko Continentino: Piano, Fender Rhodes, Hammond Organ, Keyboards, and Melodica.

Kiko Continentino has been playing, recording and touring with Milton Nascimento since 1997.
He has also played alongside and recorded with many of Brazil's most accomplished singers and
musicians, of whom the most internationally well-known are the Jobim-Morelembaum Quartet and Gilberto Gil.

Jorge Continentino: Tenor, Soprano, and Baritone Saxophones, Flute, and Wood Flute.

Jorge Continentino has also played and recorded with many of Brazilian Popular Music's most prominent singers and song writers, such as Marisa Monte, Milton Nascimento, and Durval Ferreira.

Alberto Continentino: Electric and Acoustic Bass, and Guitar.
Like his brothers, Alberto Continentino has had the opportunity to play with many of Brazil's
leading musicians as well. Currently a member of Ed Motta's band, he has also played and recorded with Caetano Veloso, and Nana Caymmi, among others.

"Imagine the happiness of a family, a neighborhood, a city, and a state, that have accompanied the lifelong growth of three sons whose talent, sincerity, and passion for music stand out... to the pleasure of all who may hear them or have the opportunity to see them. Theirs is a family that has been blessed by the God of music...
Brazil is proud to be represented by Kiko, Jorge, and Alberto, on the keyboards, saxophone, and bass, respectively, each a composer in his own right...All of this is present in their album, which will enlighten those who have the great fortune of hearing it."
