In the mid eighties one of the most talked about acts in New York,Miami and Latin America was the popular Salsa duo Miguel y Oscar with their incredible band La Fantasia.
Since their departure,in 1985,from the legendary New York orchestra "La Charanga Casino",Miguel y Oscar had a total of seven hits in the span of only two years!
Some of these songs are considered classics of the genre today,"Good Lovin'" being the biggest hit of all.
Miguel and Oscar made only two albums,the second of which is presented here. Both albums were produced by Singer and Percussionist,Miguel Martin,one of the members of the famed duo.
This great Salsa act,also composed of Singer and bandleader Oscar Diaz,is which each year that passes,more revered and remembered,for although they lasted a relatively short time,their impact was huge in the classic Salsa market.
With arrangements from some of the biggest names in salsa,like Marty Sheller,Ricky Gonzalez,and Puerto Rican Pianist and arranger Lannie Battistini along with famed arranger Frank Bello(of Charanga 76)fame,This album,presented here for the first time on Cd,is sure to bring great memories to the ones who lived it and to new generations that weren't there to see it,an introduction to one of Salsa's most legendary acts,Miguel y Oscar con La Fantasia.
