awakebeyondknowing is parker kiser (he writes, records, and performs the music that you hear on this cd). he started recording music alone a couple of years ago due to the creative power available when there is only one person to call the shots. awakebeyondknowing's music doesn't just fit into one category. there are some songs that are heavy and loud, others may be soft and spacey, and some are just music as an art (noise). There is no bowing down to the popular music god. Some songs may sound like popular music but in the end it all depends on the mood that parker is in when he writes music and how he feels about the music after it is recorded.
