Reinventing the stereotype for small, quiet, suburban towns everywhere. Based out of Sutton, Massachusetts, BACKWOODS is based upon loud abrasive guitars, creatively explosive drums, dominant punchy basslines, and melodically violent vocals, simultaneously combined into a three-piece hard rock / metal act.
The music is partly regurgitated from the ashes of Explosion Hall, except with heavier and more violent elements introduced. Many songs collided perfectly with lyrics and musical content, most to which formed the songs you'll hear today from this band. Now, with guitars and vocals in place, drums were added to further the musical exploration of what was soon to be BACKWOODS.
Dedication overflowed from the duo. Soon, the work
needed to be furthered and finalized with low frequency
riffs from bass. Frustrations were drowned by commitment, and it quickly paid off. With the very first VFW show a success, and the live performances maturing amazingly, BACKWOODS seems a force to be reckoned with.
