KARMA
Karma was formed in 1998 by Chico Dehira, Marcell Cardoso and Tiago Bianchi, all students from a well known music university in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Their songs blending the complexity of progressive-rock with the aggression of heavy-metal. Fabrizio Di Sarno on Keyboards and Felipe Andreoli on bass soon completed the line-up. October 2000 will finally see their debut album released through Siegen Records titled "Inside the eyes" (featuring Angra's vocalist Andre Mattos on one song). Karma's members are also involved in several cooperations with well-know artists such as Paul DiAnno (Chico and Felipe) and Angra (Fabrizio).
MYSTIC FORCE
Mystic-Force has released 3 successful album to date: "Take Command" (1990), "The Eternal Quest" (1993) and "A Step Beyond" (1995). All of them firmly establishing this outfit as a very fine prog-power metal band. Based out of Baltimore, MD, USA, following the release their 3rd album, a new vocalist has joined: William Wren (ex-Oracle) entering Mystic-Force into chapter 2 of its history. Album n.4 "Man Vs. Machine" is now available on Siegen Records gaining massive international attention and rave reviews. 13 songs of undiluted progressive power metal fury can be descibed as heavy, melodic, technical and intense.
MAYADOME
Teddy started the band way back in 1992 but the line-up didn't stabilize untill 1995 when they recorded the demo "Government Denies Knowledge" which got them signed to Shrapnel Records. Debut album "Paranormal Activity" has sold so far approx. 10,000 copies since its release in 1996. The band dropped Shrapnel in 1997 to sign for Siegen Records and Intromental Management. 2nd album "Near Life Experience" was released in May 1999 and the band is now both in pre-production for their 3rd Full lenght CD "Into the great big nothing" and busy mixing the live album "A true life experience".
FORTE'
Forte hail from Oklahoma and have released 4 powerful records through Massacre to a great response worldwide. The band has always been based around the Scott brothers with other members often changing to create the present line-up. The latest Forte's album "Rise Above" has truly gained a great deal of praise and has helped the band to strengthen their fan base enormously. Currently Forte are in the writing stages for their next studio effort, they will soon record their 5th masterpiece and release it upon the metal world.
MOON OF STEEL
Formed back in 1984 and shining in 1987 with their first demo "Under Three half Moons". In 1989, debut album "Passions" received widely positive reviews thanks to their eclectic burning mix of Prog, Power and Epic Metal. But beset by personal problems MOS were no more. 1998, Adrenaline Rec. convinced the band to reunite. 1999, 4 tracks Mini-CD "Beyond the edges" was finally released with Sarah, the shining new vocalist, melting perfectly with the harmonic structures. They also take part to "Voices - A Tribute To Dream Theater" brilliantly covering "You Not Me". Currently in pre-production to the full-length CD set to be released early 2001.
ETHERIA
Etheria is a New Jersey based Progressive / Power / Melodic Metal band that started in the Summer of 1999 and its lineup consists of former members of Cyrcle IX, Frostbite, and Spellbinder, who have teamed up to play the music that they enjoy. Well-written and orchestrated music, along with memorable vocal melodies, define their art, while an untainted commitment to creating and maintaining this sound defines the attitude of this band, unlike many of it's predecessors. Etheria is currently in pre-production writing tunes to be included in their forthcoming debut album "Genesis".
MIND'S EYE
Mind's Eye, a progressive band with a strong sense of melody, started in 1992 with the name Afterglow and after playing together for about a year, singer German Pascual joined. A self-produced, self-financed Promo-CD "Afterglow" was distributed and voted Demo of the Year by the Swedish magazine Backstage. German left the band and Johan Persson was selected and Mind's Eye was born. In 1997 they finally got a deal. American label, Sensory, published their first CD "Into the Unknown" but the singer changed again. Enters Andreas Novak. Their 2nd album "Å waiting for the tide", was released in 1999 on their own label "Round Records" with the assistance of project manager HÃ¥kan Kaneberg.
TALAMASCA
Talamasca is a progressive metal band based in Appleton, WI. The group began in the Spring of 1994 taking their name from Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. Talamasca began playing venues across the Midwest, performing with many of the genre's top bands and released their debut album "Projection" through DCA Entertainment in September,1998 which was followed by positive reviews from magazines and fanzines around the World leading to the all important appearances on the Powermad 98 and 99 Sound Samplers. The band is currently writing material for their next album to be released around October 2000.
CIRCLE IX
Circle IX was formed by drummer Mark Klein and guitarist Mike Hollis in September 1995 and over the years has performed with many well known act like Dokken, Savatage, W.A.S.P., Firehouse, Yngwie J.M. to name a few...not forgetting the inclusion in the 1999 Powermad Festival bill. Cyrcle IX's latest full lenght CD "A New Dimension" is currently being distributed in the US, throughout Europe, Japan, Russia, & Brazil. Cyrcle IX is very proud to be associated to this Tribute for a fantastic band that has helped shape the face of Progressive Metal that we know and respect today.
POWER OF OMENS
Power of Omens is a Progressive Metal band formed in 1993 and based in San Antonio, Texas. Crafting melodic themes and intricate timings to establish its unique world of sound with the goal to succeed and strive always for new levels of musicianship. Finding influences among bands such as Dream Theater, Fates Warning, and Queensryche, they yield to a sound that is all their own. Power of Omens would like to help redefine progressive metal, in hopes of allowing a new breed of music to scream and be heard. The band has reached many people world wide and continues aggressively to write new material.
NIGHTMARES END
A dark melodic sound placed into a fine true power metal surrounding, brings Nightmares End to the minds of most fans of this style....The group's debut album, "Blackend Nightmares", was recently issued by Smashing Attitude/Siegen Records and has helped Nightmares End to enter the music world with fury and passion aplenty. With a sound that has been compared to those of Black Sabbath, early Sanctuary, Candlemass & Solitude Aeternus, "BN" has been collecting great response and a lot of friends. A real doomy powerful blend of power metal at its finest.
BLACK SYMPHONY
Their music is considered ground-breaking and cutting-edge receiving incredible reviews world wide. First album sold over 50,000 copies. Europe's Rock Hard Magazine and fans voted Black Symphony the worlds best unsigned band in 1998 and best new artist in 1999. They have toured with Ronnie James Dio, Pantera, Rammstein, Death, Sevendust etc. gaining recognition as a great and passionate live band. 2nd Album "Tears of Blood" is nearly ready featuring the genius of main song-writer Rick Plester.
FACTOR FIVE
Factor V was fromed in May 1999 by guitarist Chris Matusieski and bassist Joe Manghan. Shortly thereafter they acquired Ski from "Deadly Blessing" and "Altered State" fame, Jim Alessi on guitar and double-bass-demon Danny Jackson on drums. They are currently working on completing their debut self-titled EP.
SWAN CHRISTY
SWAN CHRISTY was formed in 1997 when they started as a two member band: Iraklis on Piano and Kostas on Vocals. The first demo "A tribute to Criss Oliva" won big attention so they released their second opus "Farewell to the flesh". The next step was contract with the Greek label 'Black Lotus" and another successful debut album "One with the Swan". Their second album "Today died yesterday" had greater attention and success. So, right now , the band is preparing for the third album. Describing their music is really difficult, the sound is heavy though gothic, simphonic and theatrical, but the main feeling comes from a pure rock heritage.
