Arrica Rose's 2002 release was inspired by a miniature keyboard called the casio tone bank. Arrica created a sound all her own utilizing electric and acoustic guitars, drum samples, keyboards and a kiddy megaphone. This latest CD, appropriately titled THE TONE BANK, is a 3 song EP available on pOprOck records.

Review of THE TONE BANK
by A-J Charron, Guitar Noise www.guitarnoise.com

"The 3 song EP 'The Tone Bank' totally blew me away! Arrica Rose is a totally amazing artist. The EP starts with the incredibly strong, yet strange "Under Water Baby," a very powerful song that comes out of nowhere and just hits you and leaves you breathless. It's followed by a more relaxed, yet equally as powerful piece called 'Almost Pretty' and closes with the beautiful 'Pisces.'

The performance is so incredible that it takes several listens before realizing that there are no drums or basses. It's her beautiful voice, one of the best I've heard, guitars, Casio sounds and Yamaha synth...

But, in order to confirm this, I asked her for more music. She obliged by sending me her self-titled debut EP. This one doesn't have the Casio tones, but is nonetheless quite impressive. It did confirm that she does possess the peculiar and particular something that great artists possess. She even managed to make me like 'House of The Rising Sun.'

Get Arrica Rose right now. Who will be the next great diva? For my money, it's Arrica Rose."
