A so-called musical Renaissance girl, Angel is a truly all-inclusive, independent artist merging her song-writing, performing, engineering, and producing talents. Her sophisticated, stylish sound reflects the combined influences of such artists as Sarah McLachlan, Amiee Mann, Joni Mitchell, PJ Harvey, Kristen Hersh, and Chrissie Hynde. Angel’s creations touch the heart and intrigue the mind. Her songs create and ambiance that gives the listener a multi-sensory experience; to not just hear the music, but to become absorbed in the textures and the imagery.
A pianist and songwriter since the age of 7, she has consistently grown in her craft through both formal education and hands-on experience and is currently releasing material from her own studio, playing most instruments and producing the songs herself. Angel does enjoy collaborating with other musicians, songwriters, producers, and engineers, learning all she can to ensure her own ability to write and record her music as a genuine reflection of the unique sound her experience has evolved into.
Angel has been performing in various coffee houses and small venues as a solo act. She is now also working with a variety of different players with the possibly of a few larger shows. She performed on stage at the National Women’s Music Festival in the summer of 2004. She released her debut EP, “The Olive Collection v1.0,†at the end of last year and is currently in her studio recording material for version 2.0. Angel aspires to be a songwriter for an established publisher and/or to belong to an indie label where she can continue the creative process she knows and loves with the ability to reach and affect an extensive amount of people.
