I wrote "Next Time" trying to expresses my ideals about the holistic healing movement, and "Before The Flood" talks of an inner hurricane of emotional upheaval. "The Law" might best be described as a song about relationship politics and internet intrigue, while tying to honor the influence of country music.
The older songs are from my earlier life in England, where I was a singer in a touring band. "Soldier" is a digitally remastered copy of a 25 year old tape recorded with my fellow musicians, The Gladys Bloggs Band. "Garden" is about my garden and nature, and "Clifton In My Mind" was written partly in Bristol and partly L.A.. "Time Flies" was written shortly after my father died in 2002.
