A Minneapolis native, Ali Taylor, 24, now makes her home in Los Angeles. Once inside her small, no-frills L.A. apartment, her passion and drive for music is unmistakeable. Old wooden bookcases piled high with tattered and worn journals hold a lifetime of song lyrics written by Ali. Stacks of CD tracks sit carefully in the nearby corner. Sheet music is strewn across a make-shift kitchen table. There is no denying that music is her life's ambition.
Ali's lyrics and music strike an invigorating balance between jagged, edgy rock and soulful, somber ballads. Her most recent songs include "Broken," "Sick Dependency," and "My Obsession." Each song embodies a gritty, honest take on life and love. You won't find sugar-coated, sentimental love songs here.
An entertainer at heart, Ali is no stranger to stage performances. She has been showcased in several intimate L.A. clubs, such as The Key Club and Hollywood & Highland.
A mutlitasking talent, Ali has also studied acting at the prestigious Beverly Hills Playhouse. Her Independent film work includes starring in "Penelope," "Professionally Tested," and "The Darkwalker." While watching Ali in these differing portrayals, it is obvious that she has the range and ability to act across a wide spectrum of roles.
