Simply put, Campground Effect is a rock band. It's the only "label" that seems to make any sense at all, being that it leaves ideas open and is less constricting than some sort of ridiculous sub-genre. They're not
"post-this," "pre-that," or any other hyphenated musical mockery. The songs will vary from loud obnoxious noise to slower droning mishaps. The formulas and melodies lean away from a tired pop sense and direct themselves to more obscure, and at times, dissonant patterns. And after all that, it's still just rock music.
