Achilles is a compelling, alternative rock band based out of Phoenix, AZ whose intense, incomparable sound fuses rock guitars of catchy melodies and harmonies with awe-inspiring drum loops. Achilles is being re-introduced with their overwhelming debut album This Autumn Burns featuring 12 intense tracks, recorded and produced by Will Ferraro of the Eastside Mansion Recording Studio and Production in Tempe, AZ. This Autumn Burns accurately portrays the band's unique ability to express their own approach to rock n roll with their crunchy, hard rock guitar riffs and vocal harmonies. Achilles drummer Jason Root has shown his incomparable talent on the CD with tracks such as "Why the Fire Dies" and "54:40". Bassist Daniel Gerbarg brings incredible energy to their live shows and has been playing bass for nearly ten years. The band's guitarists and lead vocalists, Sean Bandawat and Mike Allison, comprise the final components to the quartet.

The diversity of the album is also apparent. The opening song "High Energy" is one of the most powerful tracks on the album. "New Horizon" is the album's pinnacle, featuring a heart-pulsing and mouth watering chorus. The band's more upbeat and trendy songs such as "The Vox" and "Since Love is Everlasting" clearly show that Achilles is all about diversifying their songs and style. The tracks compiling This Autumn Burns show both a fantastic flow and demonstrate the band's underlying ability to combine influences of hard rock and punk to form their own identity: an edgy and dynamic melodic sound.
