In a child's life today, where is the simplicity? The time to listen to a story. A simple story with timeless themes to teach children the right ways to live. With honesty and kindness.
The Kookaburra and Other Stories, written and narrated by Dal Burns, fills that need.
In a gentle, entertaining manner these stories, based on Aborigine myths, will entertain and delight children, young teens and the kid in every adult!
From the Author:
Traveling through the bush country of Australia, I heard many tales by the late-night campfires. Some were stories of Aborigine life, some of carnival life. Still others were of the white man's struggle to survive in this beautiful yet unforgiving land. In this CD I have taken scraps of Aborigine myths I remember and blended them together into full stories. Other stories are my own, written in that same style. Where the one leaves off and the other begins is not important to me anymore. Each story, each character, has a life of its own and I like to leave it at that.
