From bars with beer-soaked carpet, bi-polar barmaids and broken toilets regurgitating vomit on to the piss-stained floor, and backyard parties for suburban middle-class crackers who think that "Mony Mony" is cool and "Sunspot Baby" is the blues, a pathetic group of bleary-eyed under-achievers known only as the Banned offer their myopic observations and ill-considered opinions on everything from menstrual cramps to monkey grinders, and dead bunnies to heroin.
The Banned has no one to thank for this - and no one but themselves to
blame. Nevertheless, the Banned acknowledges the excessive input of
Busch, Labatt's, Budweiser and Jim Beam to these recordings, as well as the soul-scorching punishment of asshole bar owners, drunken fans,
shattered relationships, unemployment, illicit narcotics, rich chicks
in tiny shorts, psychotic cats, shitty gear, sexual frustration,
dysfunctional families, failed psychiatric therapy, and incompetent
attorneys.
Everything you have the misfortune of hearing on "Turn Up the Suck" was recorded without rehearsal, without a script, and without a fucking
clue that anything these guys ever said would (or should) be released
to the public.
